Stephanie May Wilson’s main message to readers is this: It’s up to you. Whether you prefer a “traditional” life, an unconventional one, or something in between, create that! Pursue it for your sake, not because anyone else is pressuring you.
Stephanie May Wilson is not just an author, podcaster, and speaker. She is a beacon of guidance for 20- and 30-something women, offering a helping hand as they navigate their most important relationships. Through her books, courses, and her chart-topping podcast, Girls Night with Stephanie May Wilson, she has touched the lives of over a million women, helping them cultivate healthy, thriving relationships with God, their friends, their significant others, and themselves.
Stephanie started as a writer when she packed her backpack and traveled worldwide for a year, keeping a blog of all her adventures. She has also been a long-time blog contributor for CNBC’s Nightly Business Report, Darling magazine, and Christian Mingle.
When she’s not writing, speaking, or recording a podcast episode, you can find Stephanie laughing with her husband Carl and their twin toddlers, eating pizza with her close tribe of girlfriends, or planning her family's big move to Spain.

I was pleased to be one of the first readers to view the book. As a long-time listener to Girls Night, the podcast, I was very curious about what Stephanie had to say about her “everything” era, as she mentions in the book. Her whole thesis is the premise that everything happens from 20 to 45ish. It’s when you get married, have babies, go to college, and figure out your first career—the book shares Stephanie’s story and how she copes with it all.
I found the passage particularly relevant when she mentions a moment when she and her husband, Carl, lived in Nashville. Stephanie shares her dream of going to Spain and living there with him. He finds her idealism unrealistic because they had their struggles early in their marriage. This is so relatable when you’re starting married life, not having much money, and hoping for something better. The cool thing is that she’s finally achieving this dream and moving to Spain at the end of June 2024.
The book's message is that life is messy and has its ups and downs, but it's easier to manage if you do it together with someone who cares about you. If you know nothing about Stephanie's story and are new to her universe, you’ll learn how her 20s shaped her into the incredible woman she is today.
I, dear reader, even benefitted from her wisdom in my 20s. She created a Love Your Single Life course, and I took it. It taught me how to be content with my life and ready when my partner enters it. Three months after I took the course, I met the guy I ended up marrying.
Never underestimate someone with the power to believe in the best possible life. Stephanie is a true example of how to turn nothing into a global phenomenon. She has carved a space in the world and internet that she calls Girls Night and she always wants you to come along and be her dear sweet new friend.
She also recently did a TED talk about her book. You can check it out here
